The most classic among the classic Italian red wines. Cultivated with very innovative methods by this winery, Salcheto is one of the companies that speak for sustainability green in viticulture. The Chianti has been well known for years both in Italy and abroad, and this company succeeds particularly well. With its own well-defined structure, Chianti evokes hints of leather and licorice. This bottle can be easily found every Tuesday evening at the Circolino restaurant, inside the proposed “Fiorentina Menu”.
Tuscany, Montepulciano (Siena). Founded in 1984 as a classic multi-crop farm, Salcheto is today a winery of over 60 hectares of organic vineyards that operates in one of the most ecologically advanced cellars to produce wines of the territory based on drinkability and aromatic precision. Its cult wine is the SALCO, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, of Sangiovese in purity like most of its own wines. Many innovations also achieved by the company, in the environmental field but also in the cellar, with the creation of OBVIUS wines from “only grapes” (and without added sulphites).
Ruby red colour. Notes of red fruits on the nose, juicy and crunchy on the palate. Excellent balance between structure and acidity with well-defined tannic textures.
