Nervi winery was founded in 1905, thanks to Luigi Nervi who decided to buy vineyards in Gattinara to create a cellar for the vinification of Nebbiolo grapes, which in the area is called Spanna. The farm is surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, we are located in Valsesia, the greenest valley in Italy, at the bottom of Monte Rosa. The soils are unique, pink: quartz porphyries of volcanic origin, able to decline the Nebbiolo in a completely original way compared to other areas of Piedmont. Thanks to the natural amphitheatre of Vigna Molsino, which is like a cradle exposed to the sun. It’s 2018 and Giacomo Conterno decides to buy the 27 hectares of the Gattinara farm to grow the DOCG and the Nebbiolis’ of Upper Piedmont.
Giacomo Conterno’s Rosato, produced by the Nervi winery, represents a refined expression of the Piedmontese tradition in the field of rosato’s wines. Coming from grapes selected and vinified with care, this rosato is distinguished by its elegance and freshness, typical elements of the territory that enhances its peculiarities.
