At the foot of Mount Etna, where the dark earth continues to breathe the heat of the volcano, here has its origin the “a’Rina”. As red as lava, but at the same time soft, in the glass contains the essence of its place of origin. The Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio blend into a cherries and plums flavour, tobacco and leather, with a fresh and silky sip, of rare refinement. Time gives it stability, the soil its essence. Each drop represents a piece of lava softened by human touch, a wine that remains in memory, similar to the deep breath of the mountain.
Making wine on Etna is an act of love, intimate, deep and without end. Love for the places of our becoming adults. Love for a land that feeds and does not ask, that holds and does not leave and that makes grow everything that wants to stay. It’s a harsh land full of lava that does not calm down, a land of magma that drops and opens and faints and then, tired, it seeks peace and becomes a stone monster, a moon landscape that brings the memory of fire.
The colour is ruby red. On the nose you can perceive hints of cherry, plum, leather and tobacco. The taste is fresh and complex, the tannins soft and velvety, with good structure and a silky and persistent finish.
