Hérzu is native of the Langhe, but has a wide vision. It is the amazing Riesling, originated in the hills of Nebbiolo, forged by wind and stone. In the glass it is straw-like, with green hues indicating freshness. When young, it reveals hints of tropical fruit; over time, it becomes fundamental, mineral, intense. The sip is vibrant, tasty, with an energy that does not fade. It is the wine for those who have patience, for those who appreciate the details and strong personality. A white of high quality, capable of transforming and surprising, just like the Langhe.
Son of art, Sergio Germano had the ambition from a very young age to create a winery, to vinify his own grapes and bottle them. In 1985, as soon as he had finished his studies, Sergio started working in the family business in Serralunga and, together with his father Ettore, planted the first Chardonnays and created the first structure to bottle up to 5000 bottles. Hence the beginning of the history of the Ettore Germano winery.
Hèrzu is a straw-yellow wine with greenish highlights. On the nose it’s fruity and slightly tropical in its youthful phases, then gives way to great minerality after a few years. On the palate it is full with a great savouriness and fullness.
