Valpolicella was once a region of ancient villages, vineyards cultivated with monastic care, where wine represented not only a drink, but a deep bond with the territory. In the same hills, where the winds of Lessinia whisper between the vines and the stone warms the cluster, originates the Valpolicella DOC Superiore from the Clementi family. It is the result of careful and conscious hands, which in October select the best bunches, picking them individually. The grapes Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella begin to give off the best essences, while time refines them and enriches their character. The result is a powerful and enveloping wine, just like the arms of an old winemaker who knows every secret of his land. It’s a taste of history, a tribute to decades of passion. Valpolicella di Clementi is a balanced and structured wine that encourages you to continue your journey towards discovering the greatest treasures of Valpolicella.
Six wines are produced by the Clementi family. From the wine emblem of this land, Valpolicella, the winery takes the name of the area and then continues with Valpolicella Superiore, Valpolicella Ripasso and Amarone della Valpolicella, prince of the territory. Produced with the native grapes to the territory in different percentage for each reference are obtained then Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara and Oseleta. Then a wine and a red Veronese passito are added to the range that Clementi offers.
Valpolicella Ripasso has a ruby red color, clear and lively, an intense and complex aroma with olfactory beginnings of small red fruits: raspberry, marasca and spices, such as cloves. Its taste is fresh, with a good flavor and a nice tannin that wraps the palate with softness and warmth. It has a nice appearance in the mouth and a pleasant dry finish.
