Fontefico is an organic farm that exclusively cultivates native wines and produces wines on the Costa dei Trabocchi, on the Gulf of Vasto. In this corner in the far south of Abruzzo, the Pecorino, Trebbiano and Montepulciano wines are permeated by the salty, constant wind of the Adriatic Sea, which characterises Fontefico’s wines with great flavour and minerality. Each wine comes from a single, specific wineyard, so each has its own identity.
To the eye it is a deep straw yellow. The flavour is fresh and mineral, with hints of mint, sage and white flowers. Its citrus flavour is reminiscent of grapefruit and bitter almond emerges on the finish.
