The Valpolicella has always been a region that offers wines of great structure, complex and fascinating. Antolini, who has been cultivating this land for years, knows how to make the best use of the grapes from this territory. Thanks to the traditional methods, the grapes Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara are mixed giving off hints of black cherry and red fruits, creating a round and enveloping taste in the mouth. “Moròpio” is the name of the vineyard near Marano, from which the wine takes its name. Elegant and refined, the Antolini amarone is the perfect wine for important lunches.

My brother Stefano and I have been growing vines since 1992 on our own land in the hilly area of the municipality of Marano di Valpolicella, San Pietro in Cariano and Negrar. Since 1993 in the locality “Semonte”, in the municipality of San Pietro in Cariano, we own 1 hectare of vineyard. In 2000, in “Ca’ Coato”, in the municipality of Negrar, precisely in the hilly belt that extends between San Vito and Roselle, we bought a plot of about 2 hectares that we planted with varieties typical of the area, raised with guyot system. From the beginning, we have chosen to work with respect for the environment, practicing guided and integrated control in order to use as few pesticide products as possible.
Moròpio” is obtained from the grapes Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and, in a small percentage, Molinara harvested between late September and mid-October, with exclusively manual harvest and selection of bunches, in the vineyard “Moròpio” located in Valpolicella Classica, in the municipality of Marano di Valpolicella, 350 meters above sea level.
